lucy was born into the wealthy and influential heartfilia family where she at first lived a good childhood, having a close relationship with her parents and estate staff. however, after the passing of her mother, things grew grim. her father became distant, burying himself in his work and neglecting the needs of his daughter. to fill some of the time, like her mother, lucy was taught celestial spirit magic by the family's employed magic teacher. it was he who also gave lucy her mother's zodiac gate keys, Aquarius and cancer.but due to her father's neglect and coldness, lucy eventually made the decision to run away from home to begin her own adventure. approximately one year after leaving home, she met natsu dragneel, a dragon slayer mage who invited her to join his guild, fairy tail.

anyone who knows him would describe Milo as friendly, easy-going, and caring. he's responsible and hard-working. if any person or pokemon are in need of help, they can be rest assured that turffield's gym leader will step up and help out.however, because of Milo's big heart and gentle nature, it's kind of easy to take advantage of him. he's a bit gullible, a smidge of a pushover, and has a hard time saying no when something is asked of him. he genuinely wants to take care of everyone, and as such, will sacrifice his own free time and wellbeing to fulfill what's needed of him.

Milo's parents are no longer around, so he has been named the legal guardian of his younger brother and owner of the family's farm.To supplement the income of the farm, Milo accepted an offer from Pokemon League officials to be Turffield's gym leader.when done tending to the farm for the day, milo can be found Turffield stadium most days. as the gym that challengers visit first in Galar, he has a large number of challengers to battle. however if not battling a challenger, he is hard at work training with his battle team to keep up to league standard.on the occassions that Milo does have to travel on league business or otherwise, his brother looks after the farm. however, he tries to avoid this if he can, especially during the academic year since his brother is still in school.

from the start, penguin was dealt a fate that rested in a life of crime. six months prior to meeting law, alongside their friend shachi, the quartermaster lost their parents in a tsunami while the two families were having a bbq on the beach. the two friends survived only because they were off climbing trees further from shore.now orphaned, penguin was sent with shachi to live with his aunt and uncle on swallow island. however, the couple didn't want children, but instead free labor, so penguin and shachi were neglected and barely fed, while also being forced into weapons smuggling and heist jobs. to escape this treatment, both penguin and shachi ran away to the woods, where they built a small cabin to live in.eventually the two came across a young polar bear mink, bepo, whom they ended up beating up ruthlessly. it was at this time that penguin met law for the first time, when he confronted and knocked them and shachi out after the two attempted to mug him for valuables.about a month later, while out collecting fruit, penguin and shachi ran into a wild boar. during this encounter, the boar charged and pierced shachi in the side. in an attempt to save shachi, penguin retrieved a stolen bomb from the cabin to use. however, upon trying to use it, the bomb exploded in their hand and severed their right arm. having heard the explosion, law and bepo found them both injured, and brought the two to where law and bepo were staying with Wolf.despite the blood loss that penguin suffered, after a transfusion and several hours of meticulous surgery in which law repaired nerves and muscle fibers, law was able to successfully reattach their arm and save their life. for this, penguin was grateful, and became law's subordinate and loyal friend going forward.

nicholas was raised in an orphanage on the outskirts of December town, on the planet gunsmoke. he lived there well into his teens, until being "adopted" at the age of 16 and forced into a cult known as the eye of michael. here nicholas was subjected to excruciating genetic modification and experimentation in order to give his body superhuman abilties. this process aged the boy's body several years, however in combination with a regenerative drug created by the eye of michael and his new abilities, wolfwood was a nearly unstoppable killing machine.after some years of training, and having showed early promise, wolfwood was given his title of Punisher within the cult. however, wanting out of the eye of michael for what they did to him, wolfwood attempts to kill his master, chapel, and run off. he then spends time wandering the planet gunsmoke under the cover of a traveling priest and meets vash the stampede for the first time.

Born a World Noble, Rosinante is the second son of Donquixote Homing and younger brother to Doflamingo. At 6 years old, his father resigned his status in order to live an idealistic commoner life. However, once villagers learned that the family were former nobles, the family was forced to flee and remain on the run while living in squalid condititions, leading to the death of Rosinante's mother. After her death, they would continue to suffer for two more years even to the point of being captured and tortured by the locals. Enraged, Doflamingo shot and killed their father, despite Rosinante's pleading.Rosinante was found wandering by Navy officer Sengoku, after he was left on his own. At this time, Sengoku took the 8-year-old Rosinante in and raised him as his own son. Convinced of the good the Navy could do and determined to eventually help take out the terror that was his brother, a 17-year-old Rosinante enlisted as a cadet in the Navy. He was skilled and intelligent and quickly rose to the rank of commander. It was during this time that he also ate the "calm-calm" devil fruit.After 14 years pass since last seeing him, Rosinante returned to his brother and became a member of the Donquixote Pirates as an undercover agent, taking on the alias Corazón. In order to gain his brother's trust, he pretended to return to him mute, a little incompetent, and uncoordinated, giving the family the impression that his trauma had been so great as to have caused this. As a show of loyalty, he also had the family's jolly roger tattooed onto his back.During his time with the family, Corazón would come to meet Law, whom he feigned to not get along with at first. In an attempt to persuade the kid to leave the crew, Rosinante initially treated him horribly. However, upon learning more about Law, Rosi eventually came to care for him and ended up going great lengths to help find a cure for his disease. In the process of a six month trip to help Law, Doflamingo learned of his brother's Navy status and betrayal, and eventually shot him several times in the chest before leaving him for dead....

wolfwood has defected from the eye of michael cult after attempting to kill his master within the organization. he is currently posing undercover as a traveling priest, but doing a pretty terrible job at it considering his bad mouth and unflinching willingness to kill. he's doing his best to keep up with vash the stampede, his traveling companion, but getting really pissed off because the asshole keeps trying to ditch him. [this verse follows the canon events of the trigun/trigun max manga, up until the point of wolfwood's death.]

one of vegapunk's experiments, nicholas d. wolfwood is a former weapon of the world government. at a young age, wolfwood was obtained from one of many overflowing orphanages and subjected to continuous genetic mutation and testing in order to enhance his physical abilities. in addition, he was infused with a drug that would temporarily accelerate his regenerative abilities when injured, in a way similar to the fume-fume no mi. however it was found that this drug, while capable of increasing healing, would also cause wolfwood's heart rate to increase to dangerous levels, so to use too many vials of the drug at once meant risking his life.due to his reliance on the fume-fume drug for his ability to regenerate as well as having developed an addiction, wolfwood remained an obedient dog and weapon to the world government for several years in order to have continued access to the vials. however, having finally had enough, and desperately wanting out, he has managed to recently steal a large amount of the drug and make a run for it. since then, nicholas the punisher has been traveling place to place, keeping a low profile, or at least doing his best to considering the large 200,000,000 berri bounty on his head. [this verse plot is subject to change as plotting/writing occurs]

After being shot by Doflamingo on Minion island, and despite his presence on the island being kept a secret from Sengoku, after he was left to die, Rosinante activated an emergency snail beacon before falling unconscious, alerting of his location and need for an extraction. Rosinante was found in the snow in critical condition, but still breathing. The extreme cold of the snowy weather had slowed his bleeding just enough to be saved.Once brought aboard one of the Navy’s ships in the vicinity, his injuries were treated as best as possible and his body stabilized, but in order to fully recover, Rosinante was returned to Navy headquarters. He was removed from active duty for an extended period, as the wounds sustained caused severe internal damage and required a long recovery process. Even then, after his injuries had healed, the Commander was placed on restricted duty, effectively removing him as a field agent, due to lasting damage on his body. Several years later and now a rear admiral, it's only been in the last couple years that Rosinante has gradually started to return to the field due to a sudden shift in the balance of world powers...[This verse follows the events of manga canon up to the point of Rosinante's death, then diverges. From the time of Luffy first leaving Dawn island and up until Wano, Rosi has been gradually becoming more active in the field again, but still remaining relatively quiet so as not to alert his brother of his status. Still building on this verse and things might be changed here and there.]

At least, it’s what the family assumed and accepted as the truth… [This verse spans the manga canon storyline up until the events of Minion/Swallow island.]

Since then, he has done his best to keep his life uneventful while hiding any information of his origin from the locals. [aka Rosi gets the quaint and quiet life he definitely deserves...unless somebody decides to fuck it up for him; this verse is open for more plotting and development.]

what if aokiji had been able to take robin with him to navy hq? in which, taking pity on an 8-year-old girl, aokiji takes the risk of bringing a young robin back with him to present a reason for her to live: that she can become a navy ward and use her skills within their ranks once old enough. the compromise is accepted under one condition, nico robin is barred from ever resigning. her service to the world government is also her sentence for the crime of her knowledge of the poneglyphs. [this verse follows a divergent plot line of robin as a child under the navy's care, and her subsequent enlistment as a member of its ranks when old enough. this verse is currently open for further plotting.]
